Our story starts way back in year 2020 in covid-19 pandemic & the situation of rural women in remote villages.

Introduction
Ruralmgram Association is a non-profit organization situated in Jamui district of Bihar. With a primary focus on rural development, it dedicates its efforts to uplift the socio-economic status of rural women through agriculture-based entrepreneurship initiatives. Founded on the principles of empowerment and sustainability, Ruralmgram envisions a future where rural women play a pivotal role in driving economic growth and social transformation.
RMG a non-government Organization was registered in 2020 under Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013) Ruralmgram Association stands & continuously trying to be hope for rural women empowering them to break the chains of poverty and inequality through agriculture-based entrepreneurship. With its holistic approach to development, the organization continues to inspire positive change and create opportunities for a brighter future of women in rural communities. Anshumala, the Director of Ruralmgram Association, is a trailblazer in the field of rural development. With a Master’s degree in Rural Development and a Bachelor’s degree in Home Science, she brings a unique blend of academic expertise and practical knowledge to her work. Anshumala’s vision is rooted in compassion and social justice. She envisions a society where no woman is left behind, especially those residing in rural areas who often face multiple challenges and barriers. Her mission is to empower these women by addressing their needs and supporting them in achieving economic independence and social equality. During the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, Anshumala demonstrated remarkable leadership by initiating a program to support helpless women in rural areas, particularly focusing on addressing the issue of sanitation. Recognizing the heightened vulnerability of rural women during the pandemic, she identified the urgent need to provide them with access to sanitary products and hygiene facilities.
Impact and Outreach: Anshumala’s proactive approach and compassionate leadership resulted in significant impact and outreach. The “Helping Hand” program reached thousands of rural women, offering them not only essential sanitary supplies but also invaluable information on menstrual hygiene and health practices. By addressing this critical need, Anshumala and Ruralmgram Association played a crucial role in safeguarding the health and well-being of vulnerable women during the pandemic. Anshumala’s dedication to supporting rural women in times of crisis exemplifies her commitment to social justice and empowerment. Her actions not only provided immediate relief but also laid the foundation for sustainable change by raising awareness and advocating for the rights of rural women.

RMG works with the help & support of organization, local groups, Govt.& non govt. institutions on the basis of mutual benefits so that the targeted groups get benefits in all aspects’ has a a team of professional, dedicated volunteers, technical staffs who act as facilitators for self-managed development of rural women.
Our Work
Since inception of RMG we did various program in villages Jamui like :
- Mass tree plantation campaign program.
- Save water awareness program in tribal areas and in high schools educating girls.
- Sewing, embroidery & knitting training program of rural women.
- Nutri kit & commercial vegetable production program for women in rural areas.
- Mushroom growing training program.
- Agriculture based Entrepreneurship development program.
- Sri anna production program & Sri Anna based value addition training program.
